How's Your Mental Health?

May is Mental Health Awareness month and, on this last day of the month, we at Boost Oregon want to encourage you to take care of your mental health all year round.

Mental health is just as important as physical health, and we want to live in a world in which help without shame is available to all. The COVID-19 pandemic exacerbated mental health of children and adults, yet less than half of Americans struggling with mental illness receive the treatment they need. That divide is greater among our most vulnerable communities: American Indians, Alaska Natives, Black youth, and LGBTQI+ youth face a disproportionate risk of suicide.

Boost Oregon sees you and supports you. We want every Oregonian to live a healthy and meaningful life. If you or someone you know is struggling with depression, anxiety, or any other mental health symptoms, please seek help. Below are some resources to assist you:

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health)

NAMI Oregon

Oregon Health Authority Resources (includes crisis lines and treatment services)

OHSU Resources for Adolescent Mental Health

Be kind to yourself and others.
