Addressing Vaccine Hesitancy: Lessons from Motivational Interviewing

Carrie Bader, Boost Oregon’s Training Director and Motivational Interviewing (MI) trainer, and Ryan Hassan, Boost Oregon’s Medical Director and a practicing pediatrician, will discuss the use of MI in addressing vaccine hesitancy. We will review critical concepts needed to use MI successfully, as well as specific MI-adherent questions, responses, and prompts that providers can use to have collaborative discussions that build vaccine confidence. -
Vaccine Conversations: Motivational Interviewing Demonstrations, Live!

Join Carrie Bader, Boost Oregon's Training Director, and Dr. Ryan Hassan, Boost Oregon's Medical Director, for an interactive webinar focused on live demonstrations of vaccine conversations using motivational interviewing (MI) concepts. This session will showcase real-time role plays, offering practical strategies for addressing vaccine hesitancy and fostering respectful, collaborative discussions. Attendees will have the opportunity to suggest role play scenarios, participate in demonstrations, and receive guidance on situations that they face in their day-to-day work.
